Trapezna (Trapezna Idey, the 'Refectory of Ideas') is a Galician-cuisine restaurant in the 17th-century cellars of the former Bernardine monastery at 18a Valova St., at the entrance to the Museum of Ideas. The room is a vaulted brick undercroft with heavy oak tables, linen cloths and dim light; the adjoining catacombs host the museum's art exhibitions. The menu sticks to old Galician and Transcarpathian recipes — monastery borsch, ribs, onion pie, home baking. Small, inexpensive and quiet, it suits a calm lunch, coffee or a beer after walking the old town rather than a noisy night out.

It is one of the cheapest sit-down spots in the old town — Google reviewers report roughly 200-400 UAH per person. The venue does not publish an official online menu, so check prices on site.
