Mons Pius is a meat-focused steakhouse in the Armenian Courtyard, entered from 7 Virmenska St. (the building is also listed as 14 Lesi Ukrainky St.). It occupies a historic townhouse that once held one of Lviv's first banks — hence the name. The kitchen is built around meat and fire: steaks, bone marrow, empanadas with veal or lamb, foie gras pâté, grilled camembert, charcuterie and cheese boards, plus seasonal vegetable plates and a solid wine and beer list. It is one of the pricier restaurants in the old town — a place for a slow dinner in a quiet courtyard rather than a quick lunch.
Per the restaurant's own booking system, Mons Pius is open daily 12:00-23:00 (delivery orders until 22:00).
It is upmarket. Official menu prices: bread basket 80 UAH, bone marrow 280 UAH, charcuterie board 390 UAH, empanadas 420-580 UAH, cheese board 620 UAH, grilled camembert 780 UAH. Dinner with a main and wine typically starts around 1,000 UAH per person.
Yes — the dining room is small and busy. Book on monspius.com.ua or call +380 32 235 60 60.
