The bus is the cheapest way from Lviv to Europe with no transfers: direct daily services to Poland, Czechia, Austria and Germany, mostly overnight. On domestic routes (Kyiv, Odesa, the Carpathians) buses run more often and more flexibly than trains.
Both international carriers (FlixBus, RegioJet) and dozens of Ukrainian companies operate from Lviv. Departures are mostly from the railway station and the main bus station; the exact stop is on the ticket.

Bus fares are steadier than trains or flights, but night international departures on weekends and before holidays fill up first. Booking 1–2 weeks ahead is optimal; on weekdays you can often find a seat even a day before.
