Znesinnia is a regional landscape park inside Lviv, established in 1993 by the regional council. At 312.1 hectares (plus a protective zone of over 470 ha) it is the city's largest natural area, on the northern slopes of the Lviv Plateau, a 20-minute walk east of the centre. It holds woods and meadows, the Hlybokyi and Kryvchytskyi streams, rare steppe plants and geological outcrops with Miocene fossils. Within its bounds are the Shevchenkivskyi Hai Museum of Folk Architecture and Life (a separate museum with its own ticket and opening hours), an ethnopark, the Ascension and St Elias churches, a 19th-century cemetery and ski slopes. The park administration is at 32 Novoznesenska St, the information centre at 24 Dovbusha St. Entry to the park itself is free and its trails and glades are open for walks and picnics.
Yes, entry to the regional landscape park is free. Attractions inside it, notably the Shevchenkivskyi Hai open-air museum, have their own tickets and hours.
Walk the woods, meadows and streams of Lviv's largest natural area (312 ha), visit the open-air museum of folk architecture, the Ascension and St Elias churches and the old cemetery; in winter, local ski slopes operate here.
