The landmark of Drohobych on Rynok Square: a three-storey administrative building with a 45-metre clock tower, designed by architect Maryan Nikodemovych around an older 19th-century structure and formally opened on 29 September 1929. The town hall still houses Drohobych City Council, but its tower is open to visitors: 156 steps lead to an observation deck overlooking Rynok Square, the historic centre and the surrounding hills. The tower clock has dials facing all four cardinal directions and chimes every 15 minutes; a bell hangs in the cupola. Climbs are organised by the Tourist Information Centre located inside the town hall, which also runs a theatrical tour, "Secrets of the Drohobych Town Hall".
