The Potocki Palace at 15 Kopernyka Street was the residence of Count Alfred II Potocki, built in 1875-1883 to a design by the Parisian architect Louis d'Auvergne in mature Historicist style. It is one of Ukraine's most notable late-19th-century architectural monuments. Today it is a branch of the Borys Voznytskyi Lviv National Art Gallery. The ground floor preserves Louis XVI-style state rooms with stucco, mirrors and fireplaces; the first floor houses a collection of European art from the 14th to the 18th centuries — among the finest in Eastern Europe — including works by Titian and Jusepe de Ribera. The ticket office closes at 17:30. The palace is also used for official receptions and concerts.
Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00-18:00 (ticket office until 17:30). Closed Monday and Tuesday.
