The Lviv Historical Museum (founded 1893) is one of Ukraine's largest museums, with over 370,000 objects across ten locations. At Rynok Square 6 is the Kornyakt House department - a palace built in 1580 for patrician Kostiantyn Kornyakt and owned in the 17th century by King John III Sobieski. Inside you will find the Renaissance Italian Courtyard with three tiers of arcaded galleries and four Royal Halls on the first floor: paintings, sculpture, salon furniture, clocks, porcelain, musical instruments and European orders displayed in preserved early-19th-century palace interiors. Other departments sit nearby: Palazzo Bandinelli (Rynok 2), Museum of Lviv History in the Black House (Rynok 4), Museum of Ukrainian History (Rynok 24) and the Arsenal Museum (Pidvalna 5).
Daily 10:00-17:30, with no days off, according to the museum's official site lhm.lviv.ua.
Since 1 February 2025: full ticket 100 UAH, reduced 50 UAH, family ticket (2 adults + 1-3 children under 14) 220 UAH; a guided tour costs 100/50 UAH per person. A ticket to the Italian Courtyard alone is 20/10 UAH.
