The Lviv Palace of Arts is Ukraine's largest exhibition complex, at 17 Kopernyka Street next to the Potocki Palace. Designed in 1987 by architect Vasyl Kamenshchyk, it opened in 1996. The four-storey building holds 12 exhibition halls totalling over 3,600 sq m (from 50 to 795 sq m each), a 200-seat conference hall, a cafe and an open inner courtyard. It hosts around 200 events a year: contemporary art, sculpture and photography exhibitions, book and business fairs, presentations, concerts, film screenings and workshops. Since 2004 it has also housed a Taras Shevchenko memorial room.
There is no single entrance fee — the Palace is an exhibition venue, and prices are set by the organiser of each show or fair; some events are free. Check the announcement of the specific event.
