The Glass Museum occupies the vaulted Gothic cellars of the Bandinelli Palace on Rynok Square, 2 — the brick-vaulted space itself is part of the experience. The exhibition, reopened in 2013, has two sections. Historical Glass covers pieces from Roman times through the 20th century, including hand-blown and apothecary glass. Contemporary Glass presents the collection built up from the International Glass Symposia held in Lviv since 1989: works by more than 200 artists from some 29 countries, from abstract sculpture to experimental objects. It is a compact museum — 30 to 45 minutes is enough — and sits right on Rynok Square, so it slots easily into a walk around the Old Town. Children under 10 enter free.
