Jam Factory Art Center is Lviv's largest contemporary art centre, opened in November 2023 in a revitalised industrial complex in the Pidzamche district. The 1872 building — first the distillery of Jewish entrepreneur Yozef Kronik, later a plant producing jam, which gave it the name «Jam Factory» — was bought in 2015 by patron, cultural entrepreneur and historian Harald Binder; the renovation took about eight years. The centre works as an interdisciplinary institution: large contemporary art exhibitions, theatre productions, music events, film screenings, educational and community programmes. A permanent free historical exhibition about the factory itself occupies the tower, and the site also houses a cafe, a bar and a bookshop.
The territory and the permanent historical exhibition in the tower are free. Major contemporary art exhibitions require a ticket: UAH 200 full, UAH 100 reduced (school pupils, students, IDPs, pensioners); free for children under 7, people with disabilities, veterans and serving military.
Exhibitions are open Tuesday to Friday 12:00-20:00 and Saturday to Sunday 11:00-20:00; closed on Monday. The on-site cafe opens earlier, at 09:00.
Jam Factory is a contemporary art centre: large rotating exhibitions, theatre and music events, film screenings and educational programmes, plus a permanent historical display about the former jam factory.
