Kamianka Waterfall is a roughly 7-metre cascade on the Kamianka River near the village of Dubyna, inside the Skolivski Beskydy National Nature Park. A designated geological monument, it drops over massive sandstone blocks in a gorge surrounded by beech forest. It is the most accessible waterfall in the Skole area: a well-trodden riverside path leads from the park checkpoint to the falls (about 1.5–2 km, 20–30 minutes of easy walking), so the trip works even with children. No special gear is needed beyond sturdy shoes. The only real hazards are at the falls themselves — wet rocks and roots are slippery, and the river rises fast after heavy rain, so climbing the boulders or swimming is a bad idea. There are picnic spots and parking nearby. Entry to the park territory is subject to a recreational fee.
By car take the Kyiv–Chop highway (M06/E471) to the village of Dubyna, about 110 km and 1.5–2 hours. Turn off at the Dubyna bus stop, cross the railway and the bridge over the Opir River to the national park checkpoint, where there is parking. By public transport, take a train or bus to Skole (about 2–2.5 hours), then a local ride or taxi to Dubyna.
About 1.5–2 km on a flat riverside forest path from the checkpoint and car park, roughly 20–30 minutes each way. Plan 1.5–2 hours for the whole visit.
The national park charges a recreational fee — reported at 40 UAH per adult and 20 UAH per schoolchild in 2025, plus a separate charge for bringing a car in. Rates are revised annually, so check at the checkpoint or on skolebeskydy-park.in.ua.
The trail itself is easy, but the rocks and walkways near the water are slippery, and the river rises quickly after heavy rain. Wear shoes with grip, do not climb the boulders above the falls, and stay away from the water during floods.
