
Karetnyi Dvir ("Carriage Yard") is a horse-riding club and carriage museum on the green edge of Lviv (43 Vynnytsia St), next to the Bryukhovychi forest. Visitors ride in the arena or take guided trail rides through the forest, take riding lessons with an instructor, book longer horse treks, photo sessions and school excursions. Beginners get a briefing and are accompanied by an instructor. The site also houses Ukraine's first carriage museum, with carriages up to 250 years old and costumes from historical films, and runs rehabilitation programmes for veterans, including hippotherapy and para-driving (carriage driving for people with amputations). Ponies are available for the youngest riders.
