The "Carpathian Lighthouse" is a 15-metre steel observation tower on Mount Tsiukhiv Verkh (about 930–940 m) near the spa resort of Skhidnytsia. Opened in summer 2022, it is fully operational — you can climb the stairs to the viewing deck free of charge. Its top is engineered to deflect up to 7 cm in strong wind. The panorama covers the Carpathians to the south and the lowland with Truskavets, Drohobych and Stryi to the north. The climb from Skhidnytsia is a popular hiking and cycling route.
Yes. The 15-metre steel tower on Mount Tsiukhiv Verkh opened in summer 2022 and is fully operational — you can walk up the stairs to the viewing deck.
No, climbing the tower is free. There is no ticket office or staff on site.
It is about 6 km from the centre of Skhidnytsia — asphalt at first, then a dirt road. Most visitors hike or cycle (roughly 1.5–2 hours on foot one way); a car can make it in dry weather. Avoid the climb in wind above 10–12 m/s or during a storm.
