Skhidnytsia is a spa village in Lviv region, roughly 110 km from Lviv, in the Carpathian foothills near Truskavets. It is not one sanatorium but a resort area: more than 30 mineral springs of different composition — «Naftusia»-type, «Borjomi»-type and weakly mineralised ferrous waters — feed pump rooms scattered around the village, with dozens of hotels, guesthouses and wellness complexes (some with pools and spas) built around them. The treatment profile covers liver, bile ducts, kidneys and metabolism. Compared with Truskavets, Skhidnytsia is smaller, greener and closer to the mountains — people come to combine drinking cures with forest walks.
Skhidnytsia is about 110 km from Lviv — roughly a 2–2.5-hour drive. There is no direct railway: most travellers take a bus, or a train to Truskavets/Boryslav and then a minibus or taxi for the last 10–15 km.
More than 30 mineral springs of different types — «Naftusia»-like, «Borjomi»-like and ferrous waters — spread across the village, with hotels and guesthouses built around the pump rooms. The treatment profile covers liver, bile ducts, kidneys and metabolism.
Year-round. May–September is best for hiking the surrounding forests and hills; winter is quiet and cheaper, and drinking cures are available in any season.
