Sopit Waterfall is a single 8-metre drop on the southern edge of the village of Sopit (Zruban hamlet), at about 514 m above sea level inside the Skolivski Beskydy National Park. A single jet of water falls from a rock ledge into a shaded pool; the spot is quiet and far less crowded than Kamianka. The approach is short but rough: a forest track leaves the last houses of the village and after roughly 500 metres you can hear the water, but the final descent to the pool is a steep dirt path. In wet weather it turns to slick clay and roots, with no steps or handrails. No gear is needed, but grippy footwear is essential and the descent is not suitable for small children. The trailhead sign is easy to miss — follow the sound of the water. Many visitors combine it with the nearby Laznyi and Hurkalo waterfalls.
By car: the Kyiv–Chop highway to Verkhnie Syniovydne, right towards Krushelnytsia, then left in Pidhorodtsi to the village of Sopit — about 110 km, roughly 2 hours. You can also come from the Skhidnytsia spa side via Novyi Kropyvnyk, Rybnyk and Dovhe. A minibus runs to Sopit from Stryi three times a day.
Very short — around 500 metres of forest track from the last houses of the village, plus a steep descent to the pool: 10–15 minutes each way. An hour is enough for the visit, so it pairs well with the Laznyi and Hurkalo waterfalls.
The descent is a steep dirt path with no steps or railings. It is easy when dry but becomes very slippery clay after rain — risky with children. Wear shoes with grip; no special equipment is needed.
There is no ticket office at the waterfall — access from the village is free.
