Vernisazh is not a cafe but an open-air art and souvenir market on Vicheva Square, between Lesi Ukrainky, Teatralna and Nyzkyi Zamok streets, next to the Zankovetska Theatre and close to the Opera House. It began in the late 1980s as an informal gathering of artists and remains the main place in Lviv to buy handmade goods: paintings, engravings and postcards of the city, ceramics and painted tableware, clay beer mugs, jewellery of beads, leather, silver and wood, motanka dolls, glassware, wood carving, embroidered shirts, plus antiques and old coins. Most sellers are the makers themselves, so the stock is one-off and changes daily.

No. Despite the name, Vernisazh is an open-air art and souvenir market on Vicheva Square in central Lviv, not a cafe. Entry is free.
The market runs daily from roughly 09:00 to 18:00. It is an open-air street market, so the number of sellers depends on the weather and season - it is busiest in warm months and at weekends.
