Find tickets for this routeThe Kyiv — Warsaw train covers the route in roughly 14–16 hours (via Przemyśl or Chełm). Some services are overnight: leave in the evening, arrive in the morning — the trip costs a night's sleep, not a day. Travel time includes the border — leave a buffer for tight connections.
Depending on the date this is either a through service or a connection with a change at the border — the search above shows what runs on your day.
Times and prices are approximate — check the search above for live schedules and fares.
Getting from Kyiv to Warsaw by train takes roughly 14–16 hours. Some services run overnight, so the trip does not eat into your day: leave in the evening, arrive in the morning.
The alternative on this route is the bus: roughly 15–18 hours. The bus is usually cheaper and runs more often, but depends more on traffic and border queues.
This is an international route, so border control adds to the travel time — how much depends on the day and the crossing. Leave a buffer if you have an onward connection.
What a Kyiv — Warsaw ticket costs depends on the date, the class and how far ahead you book: there is no fixed fare on this route and we do not invent one. Compare services, dates and prices in the search at the top of this page — it queries every carrier at once.
Roughly 14–16 hours depending on the service. Overnight services take longer than daytime ones, but the journey happens while you sleep. The search at the top of the page shows the exact time for your date, straight from the carriers.
The search at the top lists both direct services, where they exist, and connections for your date in one list. If you pick a connection, allow time for the transfer and the border.
There is no fixed fare: it depends on the date, the carrier, the class and how early you book. We deliberately do not show a “from” price — it is almost always unattainable. The search at the top of the page shows the real fare for your date.
Ukrainian Railways opens sales on the Polish routes (Przemyśl, Chełm, Warsaw) at 09:00 Kyiv time, 20 days before departure — on the website and in the app at once. If a date further than 20 days out shows nothing, sales simply have not opened yet; it does not mean there is no train.
Ukrainian citizens with a biometric passport can enter the EU visa-free for up to 90 days within 180, and a valid biometric passport is currently enough. Since 10 April 2026 the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) runs at Schengen borders: fingerprints and a photo are taken on your first entry, so allow extra time at the border. The European Commission plans to launch ETIAS — an online travel authorisation for visa-exempt nationals — in the last quarter of 2026, with the exact date to be announced (as of October 2026).
It depends on the day and crossing load: trains are usually faster and more predictable, buses can take from one to several hours. Leave a buffer for tight connections.
Ukrzaliznytsia opens sales 20 days before departure (10 for some eastern routes); European carriers set their own rules — RegioJet, for example, opens 60 days ahead. The best seats and fares go in the first days of sales. With flexible dates, also check 2–7 days before departure — returned tickets often reappear then.
Through the search at the top of this page — it takes you to tickets.ua, the official ticketing service: all carriers and departures in one query, time and price filters, card payment and an e-ticket by email.
