In winter, the Lviv pools still worth the trip are the indoor or heated ones — here are five. AquaPark Plyazh on Kniahyni Olhy 114 is the largest indoor water park in western Ukraine: five pools including a 50 m, 8-lane sports pool, slides and a Relax zone with saunas. Try Stykhii on Shchyretska 36 (Pivdennyi mall) has indoor 50 m and 25 m lane pools, a kids' mini-pool, saunas and children's swimming. The SKA pool on Kleparivska 39a is an open-air 50 m, 8-lane pool, but heated: the water stays at 28–30 °C even in frost. Outside the city there is Gray Pool Club in Vynnyky (a 25×14 m open-air pool heated around the clock) and the Akvarel park hotel in Zhovkva, about 35 km away, with an indoor pool complex.

Before your first visit to SKA you need a medical certificate — it can be issued at the pool's medical point; on Sundays the pool closes earlier, at 16:30. At Gray Pool the Finnish sauna and wood-fired hot tub run seasonally, from October to May.
