Here are the winter options from nearest to farthest. Emily Resort in Vynnyky, about 4 km from the centre, runs a ski lift with three slopes, tubing and an ice rink in winter, next to a wellness centre with 12 saunas and steam rooms. Izhak Park near Novosilka, 20 km out, is Ukraine's largest tubing run: about 15 descents up to 500 m plus a separate slope for toddlers from age 2; the slopes are snow-made. Opaka near Skhidnytsia (~100 km) has a year-round snow-tubing run that works without snow. For real mountains there is Tysovets in Stryi district (a 1650 m chairlift plus drag lifts, quieter and cheaper than Slavske and Bukovel) and Zakhar Berkut in Volosianka, 6 km from Slavske and about 130 km from Lviv. The country's largest resort, Bukovel, is already in Ivano-Frankivsk region, about 250 km away. If skiing is not your thing, Truskavets and Morshyn are quiet winter health retreats with mineral springs.
