Amadeus is a restaurant in the very heart of historic Lviv, at 7 Katedralna Square next to the Latin Cathedral. It belongs to the Lviv-based Veronika Family group (alongside the Veronika patisserie and the Chornyi Kit pub). The interior is intimate and old-Austrian in style, and in summer a terrace among greenery and flowers opens up with a view of the cathedral. The kitchen is European with a focus on meat: steaks are grilled over wood charcoal and paired with an extensive red wine list. The menu also features Spanish paella, fish and chips, Italian dishes and Galician classics such as kapusniak and flaky. Live music is played on some evenings.
