Hrushevsky (formerly "Hrushevsky cinema & jazz") is a restaurant at 28 Shevchenka Avenue, in the building where the owner Karol Zygmund Richtmann opened a cinema back in 1912 — the restaurant's upper hall occupies those very premises. The concept is a restaurant-cum-art-centre: dining is combined with live music (vocals and classical instruments on Friday and Saturday evenings), film screenings and art events. Two halls, Cinema and Jazz, seat 30 to 100 guests, so the venue is often booked for weddings, banquets and corporate events. The kitchen is Ukrainian and European: borscht, varenyky and deruny alongside vitello tonnato and tuna tartare, with signature cocktails and over 100 wines at the bar.
