The modernist building has a glazed upper storey above the entrance colonnade and a large mosaic panel along its side wing. A bronze statue of Taras Shevchenko (sculptor R. Romanovych, 1991) stands in front. Inside are a 1,025-seat cinema and concert hall and a dance hall known as «Shaiba». The band Dzvin started out here, and the folk song and dance ensemble «Truskavchanka» is based at the palace.
