A full-day bus tour of the "Golden Horseshoe" - the classic route around three castles east of Lviv. Olesko Castle (13th-17th c., on a hilltop, a branch of the Lviv Art Gallery); Pidhirtsi Castle, the Renaissance palace-residence of the Koniecpolski and Rzewuski families with its Italian terraced park (restoration is ongoing inside, so usually only the grounds are open); and Zolochiv Castle with its Chinese and Grand palaces. Groups gather at the monument to King Danylo on Halytska Square; departure is in the morning (8:45 for TIC tours) with an evening return, roughly 9-10 hours in total. The museum-castles close on Mondays, so the tour normally does not run that day.
Around 900 UAH per adult (850 UAH per child) when booked through the Lviv Tourist Information Centre. Castle entrance tickets are usually paid separately (roughly 100-200 UAH per castle), as is lunch. Private agencies set their own prices.
