Gotar is a mountain campsite in the Skolivski Beskydy, on the edge of the village of Yamelnytsia (6 I. Franka St), on a meadow by the forest with mountain views. The area is ringed by cliffs with cleared and waymarked trails; nearby are the Tustan rock fortress near Urych, the Stryi river and the Hurkalo, Sopit and Laznyi waterfalls. You can stay in the guest house (three rooms sleeping 2, 4 and 6, plus a common room; up to 20 people in total, with wood stove heating, a gas cooker, a fridge, kitchenware, two toilets, a shower, heated floors and spring water from the tap) or pitch your own tent in the tent village for up to 50 people. The tent village has a large gazebo with electricity, a fire pit, a hot shower, a toilet, washbasins, a spring-water tap, swings and benches. There is a wood-fired sauna, home-cooked meals on request and Wi-Fi across the site. Gotar is open year-round and hosts children's camps, hikes and workshops.
A bed in the guest house costs 300 UAH per person; pitching your own tent in the tent village costs 100 UAH per person. Children under 7 get a 50% discount. The sauna is 300 UAH/hour (2.5-hour minimum booking).
