The Ivan Franko National Literary Memorial Museum ("Franko House") occupies the villa at 150-152 Ivana Franka Street, which the writer bought in 1902 and where he spent the last fourteen years of his life — he worked here and died in the house on 28 May 1916. Founded in 1940, it is one of Ukraine's oldest literary museums. The memorial rooms preserve authentic interiors: Franko's study, living room, bedroom, his personal library, manuscripts, letters, photographs and family furniture. The literary exhibition presents Franko not only as a poet but also as a scholar, translator, journalist and public figure. The museum runs guided tours, lectures, literary events and children's programmes.
A full ticket is UAH 100, reduced (pupils, students, pensioners) UAH 50, and a family ticket (two adults with children) UAH 200. A guided tour costs UAH 200 for a small group, or UAH 50 per person for groups of 6 or more.
The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, closed on Tuesdays. The ticket office closes at 16:30.
