The Museum of Ideas is a private contemporary-art space founded in 1992 by Lviv artist Oles Dzyndra in the cellars of the 16th-century Bernardine monastery at 18A Valova St. It is less a classic museum than a platform where art projects are born and staged: contemporary art exhibitions, performances, plein-airs, symposia and cultural events. Its long-running project is KinoLev, an international independent film festival. The complex also houses the "Trapezna Idei" cafe and an art shop. The vaulted medieval cellars are part of the experience — a rare chance to see underground Lviv.
It is located at 18A Valova St., in the cellars of the Bernardine monastery, a few minutes' walk from the Market Square.
According to the museum's official website, it is open daily from 11:00 to 19:00.
