Solomiya Krushelnytska Museum — Tours & Museums in Lviv

The Solomiya Krushelnytska Musical Memorial Museum occupies the house at 23 Krushelnytskoi Street, which the world-famous opera singer bought in 1903 and where she lived after returning to Lviv until her death in 1952. The museum opened on 1 October 1989 and has been an independent institution since 1995. Its seven halls display original material from the late 19th and early 20th centuries: photographs, theatre posters and concert programmes, portraits, fragments of stage costumes, sheet music, records and the singer's personal belongings — she starred at La Scala and famously rescued Puccini's "Madama Butterfly". The collection holds over 27,000 items, including more than 3,000 archival records. The museum regularly hosts chamber concerts, lectures, tea ceremonies and evening tours.
