The Olena Kulchytska Memorial Art Museum, a department of the Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv, occupies the artist's apartment on the third floor of a late 19th-century building at 7 Lystopadovoho Chynu Street, where she lived and worked from 1938 to 1967. The museum opened in April 1971. Olena Kulchytska (1877-1967) was a leading Ukrainian graphic artist, painter, illustrator and teacher who bequeathed her entire body of work, her home and her belongings to the Ukrainian people. The exhibition occupies four rooms with preserved authentic interiors blending urban living with Ukrainian folk tradition, and shows her graphic art, paintings, book illustrations and decorative works. The museum also has exhibition halls hosting regular art shows and events.
Tuesday to Friday 10:00-17:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-18:00; closed on Mondays. The ticket office closes at 16:30.
The National Museum in Lviv does not publish a separate tariff for this department — check on site or by phone at +38 (032) 235-88-56. The "UAH 15" price still quoted by directories is outdated.
