The Leopold Levytsky Memorial Art Museum, a department of the Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv, occupies the artist's former apartment and studio at 10/1 Ustyianovycha Street. The building was erected in 1891 to a design by architect Gustav Bisanz and remodelled in 1968; the museum was founded in 1984 on the initiative of the artist's widow Genia Levytska. Leopold Levytsky (1906-1973) was a leading Ukrainian graphic artist and painter whose avant-garde work strongly influenced modern Ukrainian graphic art; he settled in Lviv after the Second World War and became a key figure of its art scene in the 1950s-60s. The three-room exhibition shows his graphics, paintings and the artistic milieu around him. NOTE: as of 2026 the museum is closed to visitors — the National Museum's official schedule lists every day of the week as a day off.
