The Doric rotunda is a stone colonnaded pavilion in the lower part of Ivan Franko Park, the oldest park in Lviv, opposite the main university building. It was built in the early 19th century (several sources date it to around 1835) in the romantic-era park tradition. Restoration began in autumn 2022: the roof, cornices, columns and stairs were renewed, a light stone floor laid, a copper spire over 2 metres tall added, and LED lighting installed, including under the dome, so the rotunda is lit in the evening. The work finished in May 2023 and cost about 600,000 UAH, funded by patrons. It is a freely accessible park structure — a spot for a short stop on a walk, for photos and for resting in the shade of old trees.
Yes. It stands in a public city park with free access — there are no tickets or opening hours.
