The National Memorial Museum of the Victims of Occupation Regimes "Prison on Lontskoho" is Ukraine's first prison museum, set in the authentic building used by the Soviet NKVD (1939-1941), then by the Gestapo during the German occupation, and by Soviet security services again after the war. Visitors walk the corridors, cells and inner yard and see documents, photographs and personal belongings of political prisoners. The museum also works as a research institution with an oral-history archive, temporary exhibitions and educational programmes. Admission and guided tours are free; tours start at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00. Entrance is from Iryna Kalynets St. (formerly Bryullova St.).

The museum is open Tuesday to Friday and on Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00, with a break from 13:00 to 14:00. Monday and Saturday are days off.
Individual visitors can join tours starting at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00. Groups of more than 10 people must book in advance by phone.
