This is a route rather than a venue: Uzhhorod, the capital of Zakarpattia, lies about 250-270 km from Lviv on the far side of the Carpathians. It is roughly 4-5 hours by car, about 5.5 hours by train (several departures a day, including overnight ones) and around 5 hours by bus, with coaches leaving from Lviv's main bus station at 109 Stryiska St. A true day trip is tight - many travellers take a night train or stay overnight. In Uzhhorod you can see the castle (9th-18th centuries) with its museum, the open-air Museum of Folk Architecture and Life next to it, the pedestrian old town around Korzo street, the Uzh embankments with Europe's longest linden alley, and - in late March and April - the city's famous flowering sakura trees. There is no single operator selling this trip: tickets are bought from Ukrzaliznytsia or from bus carriers.
Around 250-270 km: about 5.5 hours by train, roughly 5 hours by bus and 4-5 hours by car.
Train tickets start at roughly 100-150 UAH in second class and cost more in a sleeper compartment; bus tickets are around 350 UAH and up. Check current fares on booking.uz.gov.ua or with bus carriers.
It is doable but tight - about 10-11 hours of travel in total. Taking a night train one way or staying overnight gives you a full day in the city, with its castle, open-air folk architecture museum, Korzo street and the sakura blossom in late March and April.
