Lviv City Hall at 1 Rynok Square is the seat of the city council, built in 1827-1835 in Classicist style. Its 65-metre clock tower holds the main observation deck in the historic centre: 408 steps lead up and there is no lift. Access is ticketed and requires same-day registration - passes are issued at the Tourist Information Centre on the ground floor of the City Hall (entrance from the Neptune fountain side, left of the main door). Visitors pass a security check; glass, aerosols, alcohol and sharp objects are not allowed. The deck offers a panorama over the Old Town roofs and the High Castle hill.
