A large 85-hectare technical cooling reservoir between the villages of Zapytiv and Hamaliivka, about 5 km from Lviv, nicknamed the 'Lviv Sea' because of its frequent wind and waves. Average depth 1.8 m, maximum 3–4 m; most of the bank is a concrete dam, so rod pods are needed. Anglers come mainly for perch and pike, but roach, crucian carp, carp, bream, silver carp and amur are also caught. Contrary to a common belief, fishing here is NOT free — the water is managed by a commercial fish farm and both entry and fishing are paid. Facilities are minimal (platforms, parking); it is a technical reservoir, not a swimming spot.
No. Despite the common belief, the reservoir is leased to a commercial fish farm and fishing is paid — sources quote roughly 40–60 UAH entry and from 100–150 UAH per day (up to about 350 UAH for 24 hours), with a separate car-entry fee.
Mainly perch and pike; also roach, crucian carp, carp, bream, amur and silver carp.
It lies about 5 km from Lviv between Zapytiv and Hamaliivka — a 20–25 minute drive toward Zhovkva/Busk, or a marshrutka from Bohdana Khmelnytskoho St.
