The Lesya Ukrainka Academic Drama Theatre ("Teatr Lesi") started in 2008 as the Lviv Municipal Theatre and took Lesya Ukrainka's name in 2011. It is Lviv's main stage for contemporary drama and interdisciplinary projects: instead of a museum-style classical repertoire it stages new writing, documentary and physical theatre, and works with young directors. The venue has a main and a small stage, so two different shows can run on the same evening. The repertoire includes "HALDAMASH", "LESYA. HISTORY", "PHILOCTETES.
