The Voskresinnia (Resurrection) Academic Spiritual Theatre was founded in 1990 by director Yaroslav Fedoryshyn together with a group of young actors from across Ukraine. It has two faces: an intimate indoor stage at 5 Gen. Hryhorenko Sq, and large-scale open-air work — the company runs the international open-air theatre festival "Golden Lion". The repertoire mixes European classics and contemporary drama: "The Night of the Tribades", "Le Dîner de Cons", "Carnage", "Asso and Piaf", Euripides' "Iphigenia in Aulis", plus a separate line of children's shows such as "The Snow Queen".
