WARNING: swimming in the Yasnyska quarry is OFFICIALLY PROHIBITED. It is a technical water body of a sand quarry near Yasnyska village, Yavoriv district (about 20 km from Lviv), worked since 1966: three turquoise lakes with depths of up to 18–20 metres, steep underwater drop-offs, holes, undercurrents and sharp temperature changes. There are no lifeguards, no depth markings and no equipped beach — the quarry has been known for decades as a killer lake, and people drown here every year. Despite that it stays popular for its pine forests, turquoise water, picnic spots and fishing (pike, perch). We do not recommend swimming or diving here: enjoy the view from the shore and keep children out of the water. Access is via Briukhovychi and Birky; the last stretch is a poor dirt road, and the far lakes are another ~30 minutes on foot through the pines.

Walk in the pine forest, picnic on the shore, photograph the turquoise water and fish (pike in the first lake, perch in the third) — all from the bank, without entering the water.
